As a guy without a creative background, becoming a professional photographer is something I never anticipated.   

So how did I get here?

I've seen some of the good Lord's grandest creations with my own eyes. The Yosemite Valley from the summit of Half Dome, the milky way dancing across the night sky in Death Valley, and the sun setting over the Grand Tetons to name a few without trying to brag too much. Needeless to say I'm dumbfounded how anyone can see such majesty and not become a photographer. The ability to capture life highlights in photographs was my original inspiration for picking up a camera and continues to drive my work today.

After spending far too much time and money teaching myself photography I stumbled upon some educational videos from a couple of the best wedding photographers in the industry. After watching many of their videos, I thought to myself

"I could do that"

So I set out to prove it. I began reaching out to local wedding photographers asking to second shoot for them and eventually I was given a chance to prove myself. This opportunity led to many others and in the past couple of years I have had the pleasure of working alongside some insanely talented photographers who have helped me shape my own approach to a wedding day. This approach is a mix between traditional wedding poses that we've all seen and modern photojournalism, capturing details, candid moments, and raw emotions.
